Editing the Wiki

If you are new to editing wikis, Lifehacker has done a great little video on YouTube that goes through the basics of adding and editing pages in MediaWiki (the software we use for this site).

Adding an Event ID number to the Front Page

When adding pages, start with the Event ID number. Add this to the front page with the format :

[[Event ID : xxxx]]

Where xxxx is the event id number.

Creating a Page for the Event ID

Once you have created a page for the event id number, you can add sources to the new page. To do this use the format :

[[xxxx, Source]]

Where xxxx is the event id number and the 'Source' is the source of the event.

So event id 1234 with a source of 'DNS Server' would be :

[[1234 : DNS Server]]
